Contaminated Land Redevelopment Credit
For any tax year beginning on or after January 1, 2000, but prior to December 31, 2010, an income tax credit is available for taxpayers who redevelop contaminated land in Colorado. The property being redeveloped must be located within a municipality that has a population of 10,000 or more and the project must be approved by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

Governor's Energy Office Programs
The Governor's Energy Office (GEO) recognizes the critical role it plays in charting Colorado’s leading role in the provision of clean and renewable forms of energy. GEO works with communities, utilities, private and public organizations, and individuals to promote renewable energy such as wind, solar, and geothermal, and energy efficiency technologies in commercial and residential buildings. The GEO administers a variety of programs.

The new site offers personalized energy planning tools and a comprehensive, first-of-its-kind database that pulls in energy-related information from around the state. The site also helps consumers find the latest rebates on energy-efficient appliances, insulation and solar power, the simplest ways to weather-proof their homes at the lowest cost and the newest energy innovations and opportunities available where they live and work.

Red Rocks Community College offers a Renewable Energy Program with degrees and certificates in the fields of Solar Photovoltaic, Solar Thermal, Wind Energy Technology and Energy Efficiency. They also have an Energy and and Environmental Technology career development program.
