The Economic Development Division for the City of Lakewood (ED) offers a complete menu of programs, services and referrals for businesses wishing to locate or expand in Lakewood. Financial Programs:

Colorado Lending Source (CLS) offers small businesses access to attractive, fixed-rate, long-term financing for real estate and equipment expansion projects. The community-based nonprofit organization promotes the growth of small businesses. For more information call 303-657-0010.

Colorado Enterprise Fund (CEF) is a non-profit community development financial institution founded in 1976 to help small businesses. They provide small business loans up to $150,000 to entrepreneurs who are unable to obtain financing from traditional sources. If you receive a loan from CEF, you will have access to management consulting and business training from our experienced staff. For more information call 303-860-0242.

The Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) is a state program whose mission is to create affordable housing, business and economic growth opportunities for Colorado residents. CHFA's QIC program provides fixed-rate financing for small business loans guaranteed by the SBA. Loans may be used for working capital, equipment purchases, business expansions and real estate acquisitions. The ACCESS program provides financing for fixed assets with a first mortgage funded as part of an SBA 504 loan package.

Micro Business Development Corporation (MBD) MBD specializes in providing nontraditional loans for Colorado's micro entrepreneurs, at a fair rate of interest to support emerging businesses. They provide access to capital from $500 up to $60,000 through five complimentary loan programs that are accessible to entrepreneurs at any stage of his or her business. Small Business Administration Loans The SBA 504 Loan Program provides long -term (10 to 20 years), fixed-rate financing to small businesses to acquire real estate, equipment and machinery for business expansion or facility modernization. The SBA 7(a) Loan Program guarantees loans to small businesses that cannot obtain financing on reasonable terms through normal lending channels, and is generally used to fund the varied needs of small business including real estate, expansion, equipment, working capital or inventory.
