Training
The Colorado FIRST Customized Training Program assists employers with short-term, fast track training. The program is administered by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and the Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System. This valuable resource helps bring workers up to speed with changing technology, and provides training for employers bringing new jobs into the market.
Jefferson County Business Resource Center JCBRC provides access to resources and comprehensive services at no cost or low cost for start-up businesses and established businesses in the county. Their approach is that of “Economic Gardening” where entrepreneurial activity is fostered by providing the essential information, infrastructure, and connections needed for business development and growth.
The Jefferson County Workforce Center serves employers by accessing qualified and work-ready employees. Working with a company's specific needs and criteria, the Center offers pre-screening of applicants, referrals to publicly funded programs, job fair participation and customized software training.
Small Business Development Center The SBDC Program is designed to provide high quality business and economic development assistance to small businesses and prospective small businesses in order to promote growth, expansion, innovation, increased productivity, and management improvement. The SBDC offers free one-on-one counseling sessions with experienced small business specialists in a variety of areas, including starting a small business, marketing, financing, taxes and record keeping, growth issues and preparing a business plan.
Red Rocks Customized Training Grants: Red Rocks Community College (RRCC) also offers a training grant to help employers keep their employees trained and retained. The program provides employers with 50 percent of tuition and fees for one year.
