The City of Lakewood Municipal Offices are located at 480 S. Allison Parkway. Lakewood officially became a city in 1969 and is Colorado's fourth largest city. Currently, the population of Lakewood is approximately 140,000. Lakewood is a 'Home Rule" city.

Jefferson County
The Jefferson County Offices are located at 100 Jefferson County Parkway in Golden, the county seat. Lakewood is the largest city in the county, which also includes (in whole or in part) communities such as Arvada, Bow Mar, Edgewater, Evergreen, Genesee, Golden, Lakeside, Littleton, Morrison, Mountain View, Superior, Westminster and Wheat Ridge. Jefferson County was established in 1861, and the current population today sits at 538,000.
